10 Years of Advancing Together
Surrounded by community partners, colleagues, and friends, Point West celebrated a special milestone: 10 years of Juntos Avanzamos. Joined by leaders from Inclusiv, the Consulate of Mexico in Portland, and the Oregon State Treasury, we honored a decade of intentional work to expand access, build trust, and support the financial success of Hispanic and immigrant communities throughout Oregon.
The celebration was a meaningful reminder that this work is rooted in comunidad and cannot be done alone. We were humbled by the incredible turnout and deeply grateful for the partners, advocates, and supporters who have walked alongside us throughout this journey. Together, we shared stories, celebrated accomplishments, and recognized the collective impact that is possible when people come together with a shared commitment to opportunity and belonging.
As we look ahead, we remain inspired by the spirit of Juntos Avanzamos because every milestone we reach is made possible by the relationships, trust, and community that carry us forward.
Annual POP! Event Brings Community Together in the Lloyd District
Point West Credit Union was proud to sponsor a table at the annual Party On Portland! (POP!) Event, presented by Lloyd EcoDistrict and the Portland Criterium in support of Lloyd District businesses, neighbors, and community connections.
With perfect weather setting the stage, community partners and local organizations came together to celebrate all that makes the neighborhood special. Families enjoyed free bike helmets, free hot dogs, face painting, and plenty of activities for all ages, creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere throughout the event.
We are grateful to be part of a community that continues to grow and thrive. It was inspiring to see neighbors gathering, connecting, and enjoying a vibrant public space that has become a hub for community events and engagement. Events like POP! remind us of the importance of investing in places and partnerships that bring people together.
Celebrating Our Culture at El Grito 2026
Point West was honored to participate in El Grito 2026 at the Moda Center, a celebration filled with pride, culture, and community. During this weekday event, hundreds of students gathered to connect with community leaders, engage in meaningful conversations, and discover resources that support their personal, educational, and professional growth.
The atmosphere was vibrant and full of tradition, featuring local artisans, food vendors, health clinics, and community organizations working every day to strengthen the well-being of our families.
For Point West, it was a privilege to share this space with our neighbors, community partners, and families from across the region. Celebrations like El Grito remind us that our culture lives in our stories, our traditions, and most importantly, in the community we build together. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a true celebration of pride, unity, and culture!
