Overdraft Services

Stay Covered with Overdraft Protection

Avoid the stress of insufficient funds with our Overdraft Line of Credit. Learn about our overdraft services and how they can help you manage your finances more effectively.

We cover your overdrafts in two ways

An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your account to cover a transaction, but we pay it anyway. Overdrafts are based on the available balance in your checking account at the time a check or item is presented. Your available balance may be lower than your actual balance due to authorized debit card transactions and checks held under our funds availability policy.

Number 1

Standard Overdraft

We will charge you a fee of up to $30 each time we pay an overdraft (items of $5.00 or less will not be charged a fee). There is no limit on the total fees we can charge you for overdrawing your account.

Number 2

Overdraft Protection Plans

We also offer overdraft protection plans which may be less expensive than our standard overdraft practices. To learn more, ask us about these plans.

  • Link to a Savings Account: Less expensive than standard practices.
  • Overdraft Line of Credit: Provides additional funds when needed.

Standard Overdraft Practices

We pay overdrafts at our discretion and do not guarantee authorization and payment for any transaction type. If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined.

We authorize and pay overdrafts for:

  • Checks and other transactions using your checking account number.
  • Automatic bill payments.

We do not authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions unless you ask us to (see below):

  • ATM transactions
  • Everyday debit card transactions
  • Fee: Up to $30 each time we pay an overdraft (no fee for items of $5.00 or less).
  • No limit: There is no limit on the total fees we can charge you for overdrawing your account.
