Point West opened 346 non-citizen memberships in 2016. In total, we’re proud to count over 1,000 non-citizens as member-citizens of Point West Credit Union.

Fresh Start Accounts

We all make mistakes, or have situations outside of our control – our Fresh Start accounts offer an inclusive way to gain access to needed financial services while safely rebuilding credit and deposit history for the long run. Point West opened 49 Fresh Start Checking and 13 Fresh Start VISA credit cards in 2016, with a total of more than 400 Fresh Start accounts active within the credit union.

1ECONorthwest, a local and trusted financial consultant, completed an independent analysis in 2014 that analyzed the gross economic impacts of Point West Credit Union. The study measured jobs, economic output, and income supported by credit unions in the regional economy, as well as direct benefit value  that not-for-profit credit unions are uniquely positioned to return to members.
