Treasurer Wheeler to address Member Business Meeting
How’s this for a special guest? State Treasurer Ted Wheeler will be the keynote speaker for our Annual Member Business Meeting on Monday, May 12 in the Multnomah County Board Room.
No stranger to Multnomah County, Treasurer Wheeler served as county chairman prior to being appointed to the state treasurer position in 2010 (he’s been re-elected to the position twice since then). He’s a strong consumer advocate – as state treasurer, he led the effort to eliminate bank fees for Oregonians who receive unemployment benefits on state issued debit cards and also promotes financial literacy education in Oregon’s K-12 schools. Treasurer Wheeler has also been a loyal and dedicated advocate for the critical role our state’s credit unions play in our communities, including your one and only Point West.
We’re honored to have Treasurer Wheeler join us, and we hope you will to! Check out all of the details about our upcoming Annual Member Business Meeting, and we’ll see you all Monday, May 12 at 12:30pm in the Multnomah County Board Room.
