‘Tis the Season: 2014 Caring Tree
A huge thank you to Point West staff and members who helped make this year’s Caring Tree a success! 50 children and families will have a brighter holiday season this year thanks to you!
For over 20 years, Point West has made the Caring Tree one of our biggest annual events. Over that time, the Caring Tree has supported well over 1,000 local children and families. It is one of our biggest community outreach events of the year. We love giving back to our community and seeing our staff and members donating time and money to a good cause.
Last year we were able to donate a wide range of toys, clothes, and needed items to all 50 children and families on our Caring Tree list! We could not have done it without the support of Point West staff, our members, volunteers, and community at-large.
Point West staff, board, and members will again this year have the opportunity to provided needed items for children and families to be distributed through Multnomah County’s Early Childhood Services.
Early Childhood Services is a division of the Multnomah County Department of Health that serves over 7,000 women, infants, and children each year. Their programs provide home-visiting services that are responsive to the cultural needs of their clients and promote family bonding and parent-child attachment, improved pregnancy and birth outcomes, and the adoption of healthy behaviors during pregnancy and early life.
