Point West Credit Union CEO Robert Barzler has announced plans to pursue new business opportunities, and to expand teaching financial courses with a local university. Robert has been an integral member of our Oregon Credit Union community bringing Hacienda Credit Union into the fold of Point West in 2005; being an active member of the Oregon Credit Union Foundation; supporting Credit Union for Kids; and championing legislative initiatives which benefit our credit union community.

Point West Board Chair John Savory states, “I would like to acknowledge all the hard work and passion that Robert brought to his efforts at Point West. His many years of service on the members’ behalf are truly and greatly appreciated and we wish him great success in his next adventure.”

The Point West Board has appointed internal executives Amy Nelson and Nick Hodson to be interim co-CEOs. Amy, Nick and the Board will be working closely together to ensure a smooth transition and continued momentum to emerge successfully from net worth restoration. Amy and Nick are off and running in their new partnership as of Friday, October 29th.

Nick has been with Point West since July of 2004, and currently serves as Controller, with additional oversight in Lending. Prior to Point West, Nick worked in Lending at Wells Fargo and Household Automotive Finance. Nick earned his MBA with a focus in Accounting from the University of Phoenix in 2009, and is pursuing the CMA (Certified Management Accountant) Certification.

Amy joined Point West in April 2007, and is currently serving as Chief Operations Officer. Before Point West, Amy worked for nine years at Advantis Credit Union as a Human Resource Generalist. She holds a Bachelors of Journalism & Communications from Pacific University, a Certificate of Human Resource Management from Linfield College of Continuing Education, and a Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification.
