2nd Annual Bowling Fundraiser Raises $6,000 for CU4Kids

Nearly 75 credit union staff, members and supporters hit the lanes of the AMF Pro 300 Lanes to have fun and raise needed funds for Credit Unions for Kids. Thanks to the participants’ generosity, and support and donations from over 50 local businesses and credit unions, the event raised $6,000 for our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.

“The support of our local community cannot be overstated. We are humbled by the generosity of our local credit union friends and businesses,” said Amy Nelson, our President/CEO. “It was an amazing, family-fun event that brought real, tangible results back to our local children’s hospital.”

In addition to the bowling action, a raffle and silent auction with nearly 100 items were held with items donated by staff, members, local businesses and credit union partners. A HUGE thank you to all of our sponsors and donors for the generous contributions.

Last year’s inaugural bowling event raised $3,000, and in total, Point West raised $7,500 in 2014 to benefit Credit Unions for Kids.

Credit Unions for Kids is a nonprofit collaboration of credit unions, chapters, leagues/associations and business partners from across the country, engaged in fundraising activities to benefit 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, including Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, OR.
